Big Spring 

 RV Camp

                                                                      Big Spring RV Camp is a unique 
                                                        RV Park / Campground right on
                                                        the banks of crystal clear Current 
                                                        River.  

                                                        We are located less than1/2 mile 
                                                        downstream from Van Buren on 
                                                        the old Chicopee depot grounds
                                                        of the Current River Railroad.  
                                                        Dating back to the late 1800's, 
                                                        huge tie drives originated on the
                                                        upper Current and ended at
                                                        Chicopee.  It was here that the
                                                        railroad ties were pulled from 
                                                        the River and loaded on rail cars
                                                        for shipment.

                                                        As in the past, the difference in 
                                                        elevation between the depot 
                                                        grounds and the surrounding 
                                                        area protects it from the danger
                                                        of flash floods.

                                                        And less than 4 miles downstream,
 COTTAGE FOR RENT                Big Spring, the largest single out-
                                                        let spring in the world gushes 
                                                        forth from the base of a limestone
                                                        bluff.
